About Wood & Westland
Wood & Westland started as an idea almost ten years ago. Like all good ideas,
it took a while to develop into the real thing.
Trish Wood and Joan Westland, the founders and co-owners of Wood & Westland,
live in Quebec's Eastern Townships. Joan and Trish bring together a wealth of expertise and experience to their unique business. With a university degree in recreation and leisure studies, as well as years working in the tourism sector, Trish not only understands client needs but also applies her vast knowledge to program planning and delivery. Joan’s professional background in international affairs, particularly in the social policy sector, as well as the 23 years she served as Mayor of the community where she lives, ensure that culture and local history are an integral part of the activities that Wood & Westland provide.
There is no doubt that Joan and Trish, together with their team, have designed excursions that not only introduce people to the region, but also sensitize visitors to the tradition and culture of this magnificent area. Cycling routes take travelers along back roads, with plenty of opportunity to stop and visit the sites. Special events are always planned to include local attractions.
Wood & Westland has a team of experts from the area who provide support as trainers and guides, as well as a dedicated staff who ensure that every tour and event is worry free for our guests.
